Addendum to Debunking Part III

I'd like to thank the anonymous coward (Slashdot fans will understand the label, conservatives will as well but for a different reason) who pointed out that the Mathaba News Network article about the 9,000 terrorists was in fact a legitimate Washington Post article.

I feel it neccessary to explain that it was an honest, albeit lazy, mistake on my part. I never take the word of any liberal blog as fact. Pretty much why you'll never see me link to DailyKos for evidence! As such, I searched the Washington Post archive database for the news article title (US has at least 9000 prisoners in secret detention) and came up with nothing.

I figured the Mathaba article was bogus and didn't even bother to read it. Even the top link on the Mathaba site pointing back to the Washington Post article didn't go anywhere but back to Mathaba. Had I bothered to read the article, I would have found the full link at the bottom of the article. It didn't even occur to me that Mathaba News Network would change the original title of the Washington Post article.

As such, my bad, I goofed as anonymous coward has pointed out. Interestingly enough, out of my entire diatribe, that was the only thing he/she/it could complain about.

Needless to say, I will go thru the Washington Post article and respond to it. After all, conservatives don't rewrite history, liberals do!
